Rota wheel strength

I'm considering buying a set of rota wheels (18" sub zero). Does any one know if the Rota wheels are strong. My friend has a set of 18" SSR comps and are very soft, he has a problem with rims bending on big bumps in the road. Any info would be much appreciated.

My 16" Rota Slipstreams have held up to AX really well. They have a good reputation of being a light weight but strong wheels.

Your going to open yourself to problems regardless of wheel brand if you run
18" wheels. To get them to fit you will be running very low profile (35) tires. Without adequate side wall to absorb the impact of pot hole edges you will bend rims. My personal rule is not to run any tire with less than an aspect ratio of 45 on the street.
I have run Rota's for years, no problems, best bang for the buck IMO.

I had Rota Grids for a while and had no problems. Really though, at $100/wheel does it matter that much? I'm sick of expensive wheels and worrying about them all the time. Cheap wheels are so much easier to live with on a daily driver.
