R-compound suggestion

R-compound suggestion
Now that my V710 have show cord on one and begging to be replaced... it now open the discussion to which should i replace the very good v710 with...
i run DSP, but most of my autocrosses doesnt warrant me to get r-compounds..... since my street tire gets me about the same time... so really, the only use for r-compounds is during track days.... which i do plenty of...
i dont know what guys are running on the mini, but i know the RA1 is the top choice... what else are people running on the track, v710s are great, but they wear too quickily on the track for me
other choices ive found are the Hankook Ventus Z214... which looks like the V710, but have harder compounds for track work...
any othre choices, please do not hesitate to suggest... i am looking for 205/50 or something close to stock... because unlike my v710s, they are not gonna run autocrosses so might as well get the speedo reading back to where it was
thanks!

V710s are not very durable. For the 15x7 rim you have 205/50-15 or 225/50-15.
If you want something to last longer but be sticky then some drivers will use Kumho Victoracers in my area for street, track and autocross. They do wear longer than V710s by 2 or 3 fold but they don't stick as well.
The Toyo Ra1 is the tire of choice for the track, it's durable and comes in 205/50-15 and 225/45-15 (nice). They can be shaved for best performance- down to about 3 or 4/32nds of an inch for track use. They are clearly not the best tire for autocross depending on the course (just not as soft as the V710). They can be used on the street but as tread depth wears down you won't have wet traction.
Both the Falken Azenis Rt615 and the Ventus Rs2 Z212 (also comes in 225/50-15) and less costly street tires usable for autocross and track. You can use them on the street just fine. They run about $75 each but are not sold at tirerack.com. They are durable though not as sticky as R compound rubber.
Info on the Z214 I was not able to access- I got blocked by Norton Utilities and I am on the road!

i realize that i am giving up running r-comps on autox, but since as i said, i prefer to be at stx's pax factor than be at DSP seeing im about the same speed.... i might as well go with somethin in track tires....
as for hankook Z214, here:

I haven't seen anyone with the Hankook Z214s
They come in two different compounds for 225/45-15 and three different compounds (hardness) for the 205/50-15 sizes.
I didn't see where they explain which of these compounds are harder or softer: C30, C50, C70.
For STX you can go with the Falkens or Hankook Z212 as many drivers do.
For me the V710 makes a big big difference. It's really hard for one tire to do it all for driving track, autocross and for the street. At least these tires are more affordable.
