Rotor Set Screw: Reverse Thread?

Is the rotor set screw reverse threaded, or is mine just nice and frozen?

No, it should be normal threaded.

But it is kind of oval and not round so it won't just slide in. You will need some force to make it fit for the first or second turn, lateron it will slide in perfect.

But don't tighten it to much, because of that I had already to destroy a whole brake disc to get it out again !

Here's a hint for everyone...

the first time you have the wheels off, take out that screw and hit it with a bunch of anti-sieze. Get the bevel face too. That way, in a couple years when you need to change rotors, the screw will come out. Also, if you can get one of those impact hammer things you can try that to break it loose. That's what I had to do my first time, and how I learned about my hint.....

When Gary and I were doing a brake job on his Mini, I shared that one with him. I think it made it into the article that will come out eventually.

I had to use an impact driver, a BFH, and lots of AeroKroil to break mine loose. They're standard thread. If it's tough to get out, you'll really appreciate having and impact driver to get it out, 'cuz it's far less likely to strip out the screw head than just honking on it with a big screwdriver. Impact drivers are cheap and should be available at any auto parts store and lots of hardware stores. That way when you find a seriously stuck screw you can smile, bathe it with Aero Kroil or some other penetrating oil (although Aero Kroil is the best I've ever found) and you can smile as you dig out your handy impact driver and the big freaking hammer of your choice and knock that stuck sumbitch loose.
