The guy took the time to take pictures and share his efforts with the rest of us. I see a lot of stuff on NAM that doesn't fit my tastes, but hey, so what? He did what he wanted with his MINI, and he likes it, so I'm happy. If he likes it, I like it. Thanks for showing us, and don't let a bunch of snipers bum you out.

Let me preface this by saying I have no real problem with what he did as demonstrated by my last post.

Now the whole "we should like it because he had the ***** to post his work" line is bull. ANY forum you go and post you personal car on (pic whoring, as some call it), you are gonna get flack from those who don't like it. That's the way the internet works. Opinions abound and are allowed.

Let's not turn this into a "he's cool for having the guts" type thread. It's been done. It's weak and pointless.

Bottom line: if you post your car up for opinions you're gonna get them. Good and bad. To whine about it (some of you are, he did a little) I call foul. There's a simple solution: DON'T POST. What an amazing concept!

There's probably a place for common courtesy, even on the Internet.

What I like: painted calipers and the idea that a vinyl sticker may work. Mix in a minor innovation like, say painting a logo instead of using a sticker for longevity and additional creativity. All of a sudden, new ground is open; personalizing the logo to your choice. Brembo, Alcon, Craptastic (thats genius), NAM screename....

I am headed to the Dragon's Tail later today. I am sure there will be lots of hard braking going on and probably melting Brembo decals. I will post the before and after pics.

what does adding the brembo letters on it add? the painted calipers look great by themselves. Putting a Brembo decal on it just says you want people to think you spent the big $$ when you didn't, same as rebadging a 3 seris to a M3 etc etc. enjoy what you have (nice red calipers) and not what you don't (BBK)

I agree. And as I originally posted

Well it poured down rain all day at the Dragon. The brakes never got that hot, but the stickers are definitely water proof.
