Brake Dust

I know this has to have come up before, but I did not find a direct answer.
Who has replaced their brake pads specifically to get ride of the brake dust on their wheels, and which pads work best?

I replaced my stock with HPS& power slot rotors. I could not be more satisfied. They are quiet and make practically no dust. I wash my car twice a week on average, with stock brake pads you have to spend extra attention to get the dust off, with HPS pads hardly any time is spent. It takes 2 weeks to create the same amount of dust as the stock pads did in 2 days. Great stopping too, all I need now is new fluid and ss lines and I should be all set. Bought mine from Alex at Tire Rack.

Changed the stock pads on my 06 MCSa to EBC Greenstuff pads... No other brake mods, and the dust was reduced to about 25% of the original problem. Added plus is a little better brake feel.... If I were to do it again, I'd go to ceramic pads, as my experience with them in the past on other vehicles has been great... No dust at all....

^^^ What he said HPS pads with 13" Wilwood BBK and almost 0 dust. Last weekend I put 700+ miles on the car....200 of which was at a 2 day track event and they were cleaner than 2 days just driving around town with the old stock brakes. Keep in mind that some of the dust comes from the stock rotors in addition to the pads.

I haven't changed anything with my brakes BUT I have found that Simple Green cleans the white wheels like nothing. Just put the simple green on a cloth or soak a paper towel with it. The dust rubs off with NO effort. Just sweep around, don't worry about leaving all the black gooey streaks, then rinse off with a hose. Very quick. Very easy. You can get Simple Green in a spray bottle or larger jug to refill spray bottles with. At Home Depot and WalMart and I'm sure plenty of other stores.

EBC Greenstuff probably reduced the dust about 75% for my wifes Range Rover. I use the Ferodo 2500's - great bite and minimal dust.

When you say that are you talking about performance or dust?

Just had Scott @ Central Coast Coopers replace my stock dust-generators with Hawk ceramic pads yesterday - wonderful brake pads. Stopping power improved, brake feel improved, and from my experience with the Hawks on my audi, almost no dust. Highly recommend Scott to anyone in So. Cal. - worth the drive.
