Rotation advice needed

I just bought a set of Hoosiers for AutoCross. They do double duty as the car is shared by two drivers. After an event last Saturday they now have a total of 22 runs on them. Should they now be rotated for the next event? And if so what is the best rotation method?

1. Front to back - LF <-> LR and RF <-> RR

or

2. Criss Cross - LF <-> RR and RF <-> LR

TIA

I always rotate my race tires front to back (never criss-cross) three or four times per season. I've got well over 100 runs on my Kumho 710's with very even wear, I even flipped them on the wheels to even out wear from not enough negative camber on my HS MC. THey are definitely heat cycled past competitiveness, but a good bit of rubber left.

My theory on race / auto-x tires is every time I put them on the car, I put the one with the most tread on the wheel that I expect to see the most wear, paying no attention to where it was last. If the tires are not directional, it's a free for all. With directional tires, it's up to you if you want to honor the recommended direction for the tire or not... many say it only matters in the rain.

Buy a cheap tire tread depth gauge and put the tires on with an eye to evening out the wear.

I've been known to move tires around in the middle evening of a two day HPDE event.

I always do #1. I like to keep the manufacture's reccomendation in mind. I dont know if it helps, but it makes me feel better.
