Will 215-40-19 45et fit my MCS?

I just ordered some Enkei 19X7.5, 45et. I have 215-35-19 but I think I want a 40 series tire for a softer ride. Will these tires fit if I go with 40's

215/40-19 size doesn't appear to be available at tirerack.

If you have stock suspension you can use the 19x7.5" rims with 45et. If you lower your MINI you have to be careful as the tires can rub in the rear.

For the MINI you cannot easily use 40 series tires using 19" rims. The 215/35-19 sized tire will fit the 19" rim and fit your MINI. It has a 24.9" outer tire diameter which is greater than stock sized but only a little.

Tirerack.com has BF Goodrich g-Force T/A KDW2 in 215/35-19 for $178 each
300 treadwear AA traction 22 pounds.

For 40 series in 19" diameter you have to go to 245/40-19 which is too large to fit the MINI. 225/35-19 will fit the MINI barely and fit your 19" rims but it adds weight and would make it difficult to lower your MINI much.

Another option is to consider an Ultra High Perf All season tire
Tirerack.com has in 215/35-19:
Pirelli PZero Nero M+S for $147 each
400 treadwear A traction 20 pounds
A very good street tire for dry or wet conditions, probably a bit more comfortable even in 35 series.

Thank you for the info, today I put my order on hold. I'm think of 225-40-18. I have read that even with lower springs I should have no problems. The offset will be 43et.
Thank you again

Yes, 225/40-18 is a good choice.
You'll need a rim from 7.5 to 9" wide (perfect fit for 18x8").

In this size at tirerack.com I found
Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Position (Max Perf Summer tire)
$166 each which is highly rated for performance and comfort but it doesn't last as long- oh well.
140 treadwear AA traction 25 pounds 25.1" outer tire diameter

I can tell you that with H-sport springs with 1" drop and 215/45-17 tires with 24.7" outer tire diameter my MCS had rubbing in the rear over any uneven roads and dips or with four people in the car.
