Question to S03 Owners

i run them on my G35C in 245/35/19 and 275/35/19 size.
i got about 8k miles on the rear with ~ 35% left and can probably
do 15k miles on the front. i have a 2nd pair of rear wheels with
S03's already wrapped, so will swap them out next spring.
grips very well, looks awesome... just noisy and heavy. the
weight doesn't bog the car down though... 3.5L v6 and the
brembos have more than enough capa to stop them.

Tire wear depends on:
How you drive- You're likely to be pretty hard with corners.
How much you check tire pressure and rotate tires.
Your alignment- more toe out and more negative camber will wear your tires more.
How much you drive on a track.
If you have no speed limit where you live.
Road conditions (smooth is good)
If you load down your MINI with passengers alot.
I have had my S-03s for about 2 years and after about 12-14K miles they are doing fine with enough tread left I can go another 6 months easily. I do rotate to other wheels from time to time and only put about 31K miles on the odometer in 3.5 years. I have driven them primarily on the street but sometimes they have been run on a short track, at driving school and at autocross.
My estimate is for the average owner the S-03s will last about 18 to 20K miles.
Interestingly I have talked to my driving school instructors who drive in wheel to wheel races for SCCA and they tell me that brake wear and tire wear can be minimized during performance driving when emphasis is placed on being as smooth as possible. The reason they get so good at this is the car must last the race length under harsh conditions and they don't want to drop out due to hard use of equiptment. So they learn fast how to conserve brakes and tires and make them last even during fast laps on the track.
