When to get alignment
I just bought a 2003 MCS and just put new tires on it. How would I know if it needs alignment? The car drives straight and does not pull either direction.
The only strange thing I have have noticed is when on the highway if I am turning left on a turn at higher speeds you can hear the right front tire. The left side does not do that when turning to the right.
After reading about some alignment issues eating up front tires I want to make sure I am okay.
Thanks,
k

I will probably end up getting one but wanted to hear some thoughts on the board. I called Firestone and they have a one time align for $69 and a lifetime for $149. I am leaning towards the $149 but not sure.
I am used to driving SUV's and it took a road block to knock it out of alignment. I would assume a smaller car will get out of alignment with less effort.
