Avon, Kumho and Toyo Oh My!!!

Well, I'm down to the wear bars on my second set of runflats and have decided to switch to non-runflats for economic reasons. I like the "hard" ride of the runflats and think it comes from a stiffer sidewall. I've seen good reports here on Avon, Kumho and Toyo non-runflat replacements Since I will not have the opportunity or wallet to try all of them on my car before I choose one set, could you please advise of your recommendations based on the following criteria. I hope to obtain a general consensus of those running 17" non-runflats to determine which are best for me:

1. Ride and cornering. I don't want a soft ride, I want a responsive tire - not a floater. I also don't want a tire that feels like it collapses with hard cornering.

2. Durability. I'm looking for a tire that will last at least 25K, not the 14K I got with the runflats.

3. Road grip. I need a good performance three season tire that works well in dry and wet weather. The MINI is unlikely ever to see snow here in the SF Bay Area.

4. Cost. Would like to pay around $100.00/corner.

Thoughts?

Don't have 17s on my mini, but like my Toyo Proxes. On my Audi TT, I've had very good results from the Pirelli Pzero Nero in 225/45/17. That is an all season ultra high perf. tire. Toyo makes the Proxes 4 - Wspeed rating, again ultra hi perf. all season - Edge Racing has them (and the Pirellis) for about $100 per. In a pure summer performance tire, I love the Michelin PS2s I now have on the audi - but I don't believe they're available in the Mini size, and if so, considerably more than $100. I read good things about the Toyo Tr1, which is available in the mini's 205/45/17 - but I don't know about long mileage on that tire.

What type of mileage can be expected from the Toyo Proxes? Can anybody compare them to the BF Goodrich g-force sport?
