Question on new wheels/tires...
I've been comtimplating new wheels and tires in the future. I have narrowed my choice to Sport Max's 008 wheels.

My only concerns are the weight. The 17" weigh in at 22lbs. I plan on running them with the Avon Tech m550 Ultra High Performance All Season tires considering the area I live in.
Will this be a good setup for a nice ride? Sadly I'm still on s-lites with runflats so I know anything other than that is better, but my concern is...is 22lbs light enough?
I keep reading about how 16" wheels perform better than 17" but in the case with these wheels will it make a real difference?
I'm looking for all opinions on my future wheel choice. All comments are welcome. Thanks in advanced.

22 pounds isn't as bad as the 25.1 pound S-lytes. Looks are subjective and All season tires would be an improvement over the runflats in any case.
I say your results will be better than stock wheels/runflats with you changing tires alone and using either stock or your proposed 17" rim. The 3 pounds is not going to make much difference.
For street use and daily commuting it's probably fine to choose your rims. Heavy can mean more durable for bad roads as long as you don't hit a big pothole at full speed.
Usually when I shop for wheels I like light weight but that will cost alot more or limit the styles of wheels to choose from. For 15" rims, 9 to 12 pounds, for 17" rims 11 to 14 pounds. It's really your choice.
Remember that lighter rim/tire combo will accelerate and brake quicker.
Try running in light shoes vs heavy hiking or winter boots.
