Looking for some new wheels

I was on TireRack and a few other places and cant seem to find alot of different wheels that i like in our bolt pattern. I cant decide between a nice looking white wheel or a black wheel with a polished lip. I know the latter will be more aggressive, and i got the idea after seeing the Fireballed! Shockwave and it looked awesome. But i also LOVE the white S-Lites on my car. I love how they stand out and set the car apart. Im going to do either 17" or 18" wheels. Any help? Maybe ask me some questions so i can help narrow the choices down.

Are you going for looks only? If so that is fine. 17" and 18" rims are large and sometimes weigh more plus tires can be heavy depending on size.

White wheels are harder to find and get dirty quicker. Black wheels look OK when dirty.

Tirerack.com has lots of wheels for the MINI. Go to their site and log yourself in for make and model, select MCS and check out the 17" or 18" wheels and filter for color if you like.

If you like the white S-lytes then why don't you keep them and just put on Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 tires on them in either 215/40-17 or 215/45-17?
It's a very good non runflat that will improve performance and comfort over the runflats. You don't have a spare but you could always consider a compact spare later.

Yeah i have gone to Tirerack and saw several that i liked, they HAD a white team dynamics wheel that was my favorite but it was discontinued and they no longer have them. I like the white wheels cause when there clean they just pop! Thats why i have white S-lites, and since there already 17 and i like the profile and stance, i didnt want to get smaller (like a 16) and i saw a few cars with 18's that looked good so i decided it would be a 17 or an 18. I only recently started thinking about the black wheels, after i saw the Fireballed! Shockwave, and thought it looked killer. Plus i was trying to find a way to make my MINI look a bit more agressive. So i thought black wheels would do that better than white. As for weight everyone always tells me how heavy the S-Lites are and most aftermarket wheels are lighter so i figured it was an opportunity to loss some weight.

I am looking around for some summer wheels (so I have a bunch of time). My criteria (not in any order) is; looks, cost, easy to clean, low weight, correct offset without using spacers, and not needing centering rings. Eliminating spacers and centering rings really limits the selection, so I may have to re-think those.

The white Team Dynamics are out there, you'll just have to look a bit. I had to order mine from America's Tire Company, a northwest area dealer. They are one of the lightest 17" wheels you can get. According to SayGoodbye's link, they do come in black. Here's another link:

Tire rack has the OZ Superturismo WRC in white in both 17 and 18" sizes. It looks killer (very WRC) and has red lettering which really pops!

scroll to the bottom to see my White Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2's in white... they are 15's, but it gives you some idea.

Best of luck...

Some of the guys suggested wheel color to match the top and mirrors,
so we went with the 7 spoke MINI R92s. Don't see these on many cars
in our area.

yeah thats why i got the white S-lites was to match the roof and mirrors but it turns out the S-lites arent so light weight. So i wanted something white and lighter weight. But i like the agressive looks of the black with the chrome lip.
