Konig Rewind question

I have been torn between the Panasports, Minilites or the ASA wheels. I want a graphite center so if I go with the first two selections of my three, it will cost almost $1200 for the wheels alone If I go with the ASA's Alex said I need to find somebody who does "ultra-violet" powder coating, which in Maryland is nobody. So I thought the Konigs might be the answer, although 15's were not my first choice.

However, when I called a Konig dealer they said the rewinds, even the 15's will not fit a Mini (2006MCS) due to brake clearance issues, yet I see them in the "show me your wheels thread".

Could somebody clear this up for me please, I'm confused

Thanks, Gene

Gene I think the person that you talked to is wrong. While I don't have Rewinds I do have 15" Holies with snow tires on my 2006 MCS. No clearance issues with the brakes.

I'd recommend you call http://www.good-win-racing.com/
They sell Rewinds & are very knowledgeable.

Finally got the Panasports on the R-56 today. Needed adapter studs, nuts, and 5mm spacers for the front. I still think it's worth the hassle.

Yeah, but two points for the right wheel! Those look good on a Miata.

I've not seen anyone with these on their MINI but they make a +42 offset 4x100 in both 15x7 and 17x7. I think Sears even carries the brand.

I got OEM delta spokes on mine but like the Konigs.

Looks like the right car to me. Panasports look good an any car. I've used them for years.

The American Racing minilite style wheels is on the heavy side. I emailed the company last year, inquiring on the their weight. They emailed me back with an approximate weight of 18 pounds....too heavy for me.

16x7 Panasports are 18 pounds, too.

My dad has Panasports on his Miata - I hadn't seen another Miata with them until looking here. They look cool, but after seeing the weights of the stock Miata wheels I don't think I would replace them.
