potenza re750
my poor gs d3's sitting on back order apparently int eh midst of a strike at goodyear. im thinking of ordering a different tire that will allow me to get my new wheels and tires sooner. whilst looking around the tire rack website i ran into these (the bridgestone potenze re750 that is). Testimonials seem to be good, tests its been in seem to make it look quite good, plus its tread wear rating is 340 compared to the gs d3's 240. Not to mention the bridgestones sit 10 mm wider,at 205, compared to the 195 that can only be had on the goodyears in 15 inch spec.
has anyone had any personal experience with this tire though? testimonials make it seem like its a solid performer, but someone who drives an E-class saying its good seems a little hard for me to swallow completely when im going to be placing them on a MINI. how do people feel about them, stats wise they look quite good, anyone care to place some input (i.e. how youve felt they were on the track, street, if there worth not having to wait and saving ten dollars off the goodyears?)
thanks for any help

You're planning to get the GS D3's in 195/50-15? That's a fairly significant diameter difference from stock (22.7" vs 24" stock, or 5.4% difference). Fine if you wanted the lower gearing, but make sure it's what you have in mind.

wow, really didnt notice it was the much of an increment i thought it was like 3 percent, but still even 5% or so doesnt bother me to much, whats that at like 70 my speedo will be about 3 miles per hour off?
my question is how do oyu find out what the difference in percentage will do to engine rpm while moving? im a little more interested in how thatll be affected, but i dont think itll be that much, shouldnt it be like when i would usually pull 3000 rpm, ill be at like 3200?
