Proper disposal of wheels?

Proper disposal of wheels?
Awhile back I "kissed" a curb which has resulted in a wasted set of aluminium wheels: 1-totalled, 1 dented, 1 with scratches (from a separate incident), and 1 perfectly good one! And get this- I couldn't get replacements as they've been discontinued. Well you all know what that means--
I got a new set today! (I've still got my OEM set, too) SO tell me- what do *responsible* folks typically do with an old set of wheels?
recycle? (can u recycle a whole wheel?)
full-size spare?
not so comfortablee ottoman?
crazy art project?
target practice? (oh wait- i said "responsible").
eBay? (do people buy less than a full set of wheels?)
Any insight, suggestions, or funny comments appreciated.

I'd try eBay first, you're probably not the first/only person who can't replace this discontinued wheel.
Also, scratched (and to some extent, slightly bent/dented) wheels can be repaired.
If you can't get rid of them that way, take them to an aluminum recycler. They'll give you a couple dollars for them.

what brand of wheels? eBay is a good start.
I almost bought some singles from a shop that had them on display - the plan was to take them to a metal shop and run them through the bandsaw, keeping the front face. Put some clock internals and hang it on the wall in the garage....I was going to make some for friends as well.

You can always set the wheel down in your living room, get some circular glass or wood planks for the top of the wheel and now youve got yourself a real nice cheap coffee table! J/K
But on a serious note, id like to know of a better way to dispose of my S-lites, as im gettin new wheels soon and these S-heavys are all "curb-rashed" and i sure dont feel like refurnishing them!

most shops will take em.. as again they get some $$ for scrap... there must be $$ in it...
we have a scrap guy come get our stuff.. he paid $2500 for one of those old containers off the ships... a half size one.. to put our scrap in, and he empties it into a truck and takes it somewhere to get $$.. must be ok $$ in it if he paid $2500 for the container... I am just sure where, or willing to do what he does... manually lug all that metal... we told him to keep all the $$ as long as he gets rid of our scrap...
