brake ducts

I finally pull the trigger on these JCM brake ducts last week, and here they are! They are for the standard MCS bumper only, not the aero bumper. I’m thinking about duplicating another set for my friend. If it is not hard, I will make more. Let me know if you are interested, so I can get an idea...

Does the intake go into an existing bumper hole or do you make the holes?

I don't think I have that much time in hand to make a set of the R56. I will see what I can do, but I can't promise anything...

Have to make a bigger hole from your fog light hole...

While any cooling can be a good thing I'd have some reservations on the output of the duct. They appear to blow on the inner side of the rotor. This is not the best of solutions as it causes an temperature inbalance in the rotor which in turn can effect pad wear, rotor wear and perhaps a bending of the rotor if extreme. If they are cupped onto the caliper body that's not quite so bad as it will keep the caliper fluid from boiling.

The best and proper place for the air flow to be distributed is at the hub center inside the rotors far side opening. This not only distributes the air into the vanes of the rotor where it belongs for cooling but also helps cool the wheel bearing which will run hot too.

Todd, could you please help me and clarify "..the rotors far side opening." Would this be the outside edge? I've seen the replacement backing plates with the hose attachment tube. This seems to place the air at the inside face of the rotor too.
