New tire protective junk.

New tire protective junk.
I have a new set of BFGoodrich T/A KDW's. They came with some protective stuff that was sprayed on them and it makes the tire look white. How do you get it off? I tried soap and water and a scrub brush, didn't touch it. Rubbing alcohol and a scotch pad, still there. There must be something that will take it off!

If it was on the tread it would be worn off by now. It's on the sidewall and it looks like crap. I do have standards and the junk needs to go!

It's really hard to describe this stuff. one tire has it on pretty much the whole side, one tire has it in here and there one tire doesn't have any and one tire only has a little. It will rub off with a dry micro fiber towel but I have to rub it so hard and long im affraid the tire is going to have a big O or catch on fire. My nail will scrap it off but I wouldn't have any nails left by the time I finished. A nylon brush doesn't touch it and a wire brush will leave marks in the rubber. I'll try to take a picture of it this weekend.

It's not mounting lube, it was on the tires when I bought them. I found a good sale on them so I bought them about 2 weeks before I got my tires. I just figured the stuff would wash off. Today I put some Meguires Vinyl and rubber protectant on them. I can't tell if it took it off, but at the very least it turned it black so you can't see it and it makes the tire more black without leaving a shinny finish.

Sorry I haven't followed up here, Iv'e been really busy. The Meguires vinyl and rubber protectant that I put on softened the gunk up. I let it set over night and I scrubbed the tire with a scotch pad, some soap and water and the offending white stuff is gone. This stuff was on the tires when I bought them and I am guessing that's the reason they were on sale.
