Need Tire Advice
Hi,
I was wondering if someone on this forum can point me in the right direction for tires.
I have a 2005 Mini S with the original tires (25,000 Miles). Couple of days back I hit a pot hole (or maybe a bump on the road) and the next day there was a bubble in the side wall of the front right tire. So it looks like I'll have to buy a new tire. I took the car to couple of tire places and all suggested that I replace both front tires due to the wear on the tires. The back tires seemed like that they'll last for some time.
What I'm looking for is a recommendation on tire replacement. I've search this forum and looked at tire rack, it seems that there are lots of options out there and I'm not sure which one to take.
The original tires on the mini are Goodyear Eagle RSA EMT 205/45/V17.
I like the run flats so I would like to stick with them but I just can't bring myself to drop $275/tire on the Eagle's.
And I would like to stick to All-Season tires since I don't have storage space so I can't get summer/winter only tires.
Could someone help me out by pointing me in the right direction?
BTW, if anyone is taking the Key Bridge into DC from Arlington via N Lynn St., I would suggest to stay away from the right most lane when getting on the bridge. It seems that the bridge plate that meets the road is seriously miss aligned but only on the right most side of the right lane of the road. Plus at that exact point the road curves so if you were driving normal speed on that lane, your car's front right tire would hit the plate with such a force that in the mini it sounds like a shotgun going off. Anyway just a word of caution.
Thanks for your help....Regards....
