15 inch wheels with offset 42?

I have a set of Kumho MX 205/50-15s on order from my local tire shop for autocross. I am looking at a set of Falken Hanabi 15 inch wheels (11 pounds!) with offset of 42 listed in the wheel specs. Will this combination work and be DSP legal on a 04 JCW MCS?

Thanks for any replies

How wide are those wheels? If they are a 15x7 they might not work without spacers. I think some people get away with a 15x7 +40, I personally have a set of 15x7 +38 and they do not leave much room on the inside.

For DSP you can use- any DOT tire and any wheel diameter width and offset. So you are OK.

Normally having less offset would be best and allows for more inner clearance for the rear trailing arm and rear swaybar. Front should fit OK.

If your upgraded rear swaybar is not too wide you should be OK.

From tirerack.com they do list other 15x7" rims with +42mm offset like the ASA EM9/JS5 and that should fit a stock MINI. Other +42mm offset rims:
BBS RGF

Borbet 15x7 and 15x6.5 rims are +40mm offset

Many 15x7 rims have +38mm offset like:
BBS RD
Kosei K1 Racing
Kosei K1 TS (I have these and they work fine with 205/50-15 and with 225/45-15 and lowered suspension).

Some have +35 or 36mm offset like:
BBS RF
BBS RZ
Then watch out that the tire you choose is not too tall and rubs the outer wheel arch plastic. Smaller outer tire diameter sizes like 205/50-15 and 225/45-15 will work best.
