19"

Hi all,

I'm new to the forums so Hi.

I have a 2007 MCS and would like to put 19" on it.

I know, I know, it will slow the car down ect, but I like to do things a little different then most.

I had a 2003 Evo VIII on 19X9's and still ran a 11.7 in the 1/4 mile, so it can be done. (stock motor, head, and turbo no NOS).

I waited till 2007 to get my MINI because I wanted a turbo. Anyway, what will fit the MCS in that size? (19 X 7.5 I guess) and what are the lighter wheels. I had RH Pro's on the Evo.

Any help would be great, thanks for your time in advance.

Welcome to NAM.

I searched in Tirerack.com and didn't see any 19" rims for the MINI.
Only 18" or 20"
Sample search
http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/resul...er+7%2F12%2F06

Note that you have a limited wheel well area that accepts tires up to about 24.7" outer tire diameter and the newest 2007 MINIs come with a different hub bolt size than earlier models which is of fitment concern.

Be sure to check with any wheel vendor that the wheels will fit the newest MINI.

I searched at edgeracing.com and found that many wheels don't come in 19x8.5" and those that do often don't have 4x100 bolt pattern.
See

19x7.5" in 4x100 from about 25.5 to 26.5 pounds each and up and from $175 to $239 each and up

Or for less weight

You might also look around on MINI2 - I faintly recall some European offerings in 19" from a couple of years ago, so it might be possible to find some sources from across the pond. Good luck!

No I didn't say the whole car was stock... Just the Motor, head, and turbo.

I had cams, cam gears, intake, header, down pipe, exhaust, plugs wires, injectors, and a custom tuned AEM. I also ran methonal injection. All good for about 450WHP.

Have you considered the more expensive options like HRE, iForged, DPE, etc. Their pricey but the way to go for a set of good looking 19s IMO. If you got the money, why not lol.. if not, there are some people here running 19s, i'm sure they'll chime in. Try motegi I think...
