Anyone know how much the base model 15" OEM wheels weigh? The ones that have the seven round cutout holes in them around the hub. I know they were on the earlier (2002-2003) base (non S) cars, not sure about later models.

And also, if you do know, where did you find out?

The 'holies' are 12lbs. See the sticky at the top of this forum.
It will lead you to the weights of all the OE wheels. (see post #9)

 

You have the right idea. The original 7 hole stock 15x5.5" rims were the lightest ever MINI OEM rims and came in white or silver. Many owners sold them so you can still find them around on ebay or locally. Since then all of the other designs are about 14 pounds or more.

You can fit a variety of tires from 175/65-15 to 205/55-15 and even autocross with 205/50-15 competition tires!
