How long do stock runflats last?

How long do stock runflats last?
What is the average mileage you can get out of a set of stock runflats? I have the set that came with my x-lites and im wondering if I need to start looking at replacing them already. They have 21000 miles on them so far.
How long do they normally last?
Can anyone recommend any good non-runflat replacements for general use with a leadfoot? Im looking to have a less bumpy ride and still hold the road.
Thanks!

Between 6K and 40K. Really.
It depends how you drive. Definitely replace at 2/32", and start looking close to that. The wear bars are at 2/32" so that will give you a good indicator.
Take a look in the Tires, Wheels and Brakes Forum for LOTS of ideas and recommendations.

Which Runflats
No one asked which ones .... doe everyone assume they are the same....I though you could order perfomance or all season and even then the supplier of the a/s changed over time while the performance stayed P'rlli
I got nearly 35k out of a P'relli Euph's on S-Lites
admitedly, I ain't very hard on my car....
Subsequently went to Yoko ES-100 - they have not work as well.....almost gone at less than 30k

I think I have the Dunlop runflats on mine. After 14,000 miles and about 15 autocross events, they're just about knackered. There's plenty of tread left in the middle, but the shoulders are smooth and feathered. That's almost 100% due to the autocross events and the MINI's lack of adequate negative camber from the factory, so I can't blame that on the tires.
I'll be replacing them with some non-runflats soon, and I've ordered different wheels/tires for autocross days, so I expect my next set to last significantly longer.

How do you like the 615s as an all-weather tire? I'm getting a set for my autocross wheels, but don't know how they'd do for everyday replacements for the stock runflats.

Run flats
I use goodyear run flats on my car and so far maneged 37000 miles ,with 3mm tred depth left.
In a uk motoring magazine they did a test on breaking distance with a new BMW 3 series in wet weather ,one test was with runflats and the second was with standered tyres .
The test with standerd tyers took 4 to 5 meters extra to stop at the same speed ,so be carefull the might apply to the mini.

If you questions about wheels and tires contact Alex@tirerack.com
Mileage for runflats varys with your driving patterns and skill. Many owners will do fine for about 20,000-23,000 miles and wear out the front tires primarily- many don't rotate tires every 4000 miles.
Some owners will wear out the tires in 15,000 miles or less while others get 30,000 miles from being easy in corners and doing more hwy commuting.
It's likely that in the next 3000+ miles you'll need replacing of your tires. Replace them all if you can. Non runflat tires offer very good handling and more comfort when using stock suspension (which is fairly soft).
For your tires-
General use- good all purpose use- mostly street
Less bumpy- Not jarring, easy to live with, moderately comfortable
Holds the road- this means moderately good handling and performance
These qualities are often found in an Ultra High Performance All Season tire- (UHPAS)
Very good dry or wet handling
Comfortable for daily use
Handles all weather up to light snow
Available in a range of sides and prices
In 205/50-16 (UHPAS class)
Pirelli PZero Nero M&S $102 400 treadwear W speed rated
Kumho Ecsta ASX $68 420 treadwear W speed rated
In 205/55-16 (UHPAS class) (much better selection of tires)
Yokohama Advan S.4. $129 Low stock! 400 treadwear 22 lbs (special offer $75 Crutchfield gift certificate) W speed rated
Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS $107 400 treadwear W speed rated
Continental ContiExtremeContact $80 400 treadwear V speed rated
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S $141 400 treadwear Y speed rated
Pirelli PZero Nero M&S $103 400 treadwear W speed rated
Avon Tech M550 A/S $80 360 treadwear W speed rated
If you have no snow at all then another class of tires to look at are
Ultra High Performance Summer tires.
The Falken ST615 is a Max Performance Summer tire.
Very good performance and value but wears out quicker (treadwear of 200) and isn't as comfortable for daily driving. Not for any snow use.
