We have 7 people heading down from Ohio and PA and boy are we getting jazzed about spending time with other MINIacs! Now, if I can spend a little more time socializing (while also social distancing) and drag myself off the Dragon! Lol. I’m going to try this MSSD! (Helps that this will be my 5th time down to the Dragon this pandemic! Lol)

They do have a first timers run scheduled, won’t be spirited enough for me. This will be a first time for me meeting more than one or 2 mini’s. Tips, for solo runs, 1. Drive your drive 2. Don’t cross the yellow line 3. If faster traffic comes up from behind, be kind and pull over when you can 4. Keys eyes on road leave the scenery for the pull offs 5. Have fun and motor on

there are several pull offs that are big enough for a few cars, then there are some that are just big enough for a car. Colinmini showed me a 2nd turn around that I wasn’t really aware of. Basically the store is the end of the dragon, this will be where a lot of people will stop, walk around, or just let the car cool for 10 min. When run back up the dragon the main overlook tends to be where everyone turns around, but if you keep on rolling this will take you pretty much back down the hill allowing for coasting, cooling of brakes and engine can be done here and the pull off down there is a bit bigger and flat, coasting in to a complete stop using no brakes, Colin again has this down pat and knows this road pretty well. I had fun down there by myself, making as many runs as I wanted, but I had way more fun trying to keep up with Colin, his over 10,000 miles on the dragon really shows in his lines and how he whips that R50 around.

They aren’t really rules, just really great guidelines for a fun safe trip.
