Evolve-R Group Buy
#26
If everybody who expressed interest from this thread and the one I started it should. It'd really be disappointing to not reach what they are expecting. However, we don't know who has sent personal emails and not post on the forums.

I'm not sure if anyone noticed that on the previous thread discussing the group buy I posed the question to Evolve about possibly including some coding with the tune to which Alex replied yes. For those who don't understand what that means, imagine not having to listen to the seatbelt chime or holding down the unlock button on your remote so the sunroof fully opens not just goes into tilt position etc. That's what I call a deal sweetener, search coding I this site to get a better idea of what's possible. What exactly Evolve will offer as far as that concerned I don't know yet.

No it's not, HOWEVER , do not let that stop you from organizing a large group to support the N18 model cars. If I'm not mistake, evolve and burger are developing systems as we speak. Start rounding people together. Power in numbers my friend.

FYI,
For those of us with only 91 octane available, a 93 octane + rating can be achieved through a few options:
1) Per Terry at BMS: 20-30% E85 in the tank will achieve a 93 octane rating.
2) Race gas mix: I live in CO so 91 is the highest rating but there are quite a few race gas dealers. About 20-30% race gas will achieve 93+ octane rating (about 2.5-3 gal will do the trick).
3) Torco Unleaded Acclerator: http://www.torcousa.com/torco_product/un_acce.html
Just in case any were holding out due to their state octane grade maximum there are easy options to achieve 93+octane.

Glad to hear Torco for sure works. It costs the about the same per fl/oz as other octane boosters from Pep Boys, but it *actually* boosts octane.

What has changed about the tune since you took it off the market?
Also, I know that BMW/Mini likes to update the software on these cars and that the version can vary from car to car. Does the version of software the car is running effect at all how the tune performs?

We saw some issues with carbon build up, that we did not like, so we went ahead and have done some adjusting to our tune. Also, when a upgrade is provide we usually update your tunes to the new software (working on fine details, but we have updated them for free of charge in the past)

But if you for some reason have a update installed by the dealership please let us know immediately and do not run the tune we originally send you.
