And the snap rings are back into position. These snap rings will prevent the bearings from being pushed out when you shafts are being pressed in. I will have to fabricate something to keep the inner part of the bearing in place.

I used a mirror to check the gap. The bearings are tapered a bit so you cannot press them flush. Very important because if you do try you will break the case as its only aluminium.

The setup, I am so glad I bought a press pen set with the press as these are perfect for getting some depth.

This is the bortom of the setup. Notice how it needs to be sitting the very edge

You can press it in with your fingers to begin with, then just hammer it in with a seal driver

Next target, the other top shaft bearing. The shaft is actually hollow allowing oil to pass thru it right into the plastic thingy

Making progress, the first break is always the hardest and scariest as it makes a loud bang.

To get the new one pressed back in you need to be careful not to break the new plastic thingy that goes underneath the bearing. I used to old bearing as a spacer so the bearing driver could never hit the end of the plastic thingy
